Aftercare News
|
|
We have been lucky enough to witness some of the Senior School play coming to fruition, in our hall. We now have a train carriage that was designed by one of the students and constructed by a parent. It is amazing, so if you get a chance, pop your head into the hall and have a look. If you have not yet booked your tickets, do it soon. Emily and I can't wait to see it.
-
Monday: With all that rain we thought it would be a great chance to practise our emergency evacuation drill for ‘flood damage’. It took us a few goes but we did get much better at the task. Also on Monday we had a visit from Nathan, one of our previous regulars who is now in Year 8. Nathan gave us some positive insights about his experiences at our senior campus. Other senior children popped-in to say ‘Hello’, it was wonderful!
-
Tuesday: We made Anzac biscuits which were fun and of course yummy!
-
Wednesday: Anzac Day so no Aftercare.
-
Thursday: We made some very interesting wall hangings with Autumn leaves and sticks. Once again there were some great variations.
-
Friday: We were invited to join the 6/7's in their disco so of course we had great fun.
Come and join us

ALUMNI UPDATES
|

CUSH PHILLIPS
Cohort 1978
After completing her entire education at Preshil, Cush graduated as a member of the first Year 12 class to complete their secondary education at Preshil. Cush travelled extensively after her secondary schooling and studied at a variety of international locations including Laban Summer School in London and completed a Graduate Diploma in movement and dance at Melbourne University. Since that time she has maintained a close professional and personal connection with the school through her work with Arlington children following her passion of creative dance.
In addition to her work at Preshil, Cush also teaches creative dance and ballroom dancing classes in her own studio in Canterbury - Dalmaine Dance Studio. Her creative dance classes for children from 5 years of age allow imagination and confidence to develop without the constrictions of competition or technical standards. In contrast, these classes emphasise self-expression, creativity and dramatic interpretation through dance.
The Ballroom and Social Dancing courses for teenagers cover a variety of dance styles and incorporate instruction in social etiquette and formal conventions and run for two school terms.
For further details or to book a place, please contact Cush on 0428 210 660.
